Apply Online

  1. To Obtain Liquor License, the applicant has to make the application in GoBusiness licensing portal link
  2. Enter a search “Liquor License” then click on "Add to selection"> click on "Review and Apply" and then click the "Proceed" button.
  3. The applicant has to login with either Singpass app or Singpass Id number and password
    Note: If you don’t not have an account you can register by clicking on “Register Singpass”, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agree to the terms and condition and click on register now, no the next page entry your personal information and submit. You will be issued with you Sing Pass ID number and password.
  4. The applicant has to necessary information and submit the required document that are mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After submitting the documents review the application and click submit.
  6. The applicant needs to pay a non- refundable fee via credit or debit card.
  7. After the successful submission the authority send out a letter or email reply to the applicant within 5 working days of receipt of the application.
  8. After successful submission the applicant is required to attend an interview with the Licensing Officer.
  9. The Singapore Police Force licensing department will post out the hardcopy licences within 3weeks.

  • Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) certificate
  • NRIC or Foreign IC (for non-Singaporeans with work permit) of the applicants
  • Approval from HDB on the sales of Liquor at the premises
  • Planning permission on the land use of the premise from URA/SLA
  • Registry of Societies (ROS) certificate (for applying on behalf of societies)
  • Hawker’s licence issued by NEA (for applying for an outdoor beer stall as hawkers)

InstructionsEdit

A liquor licence is not required for the following circumstances:

  • Delivery only to a person, at the request of the person, of liquor that is owned by, or ordered under a contract of purchase by, the person
  • In an emergency where the liquor is necessary to preserve life or prevent injury or further injury
  • In the course of a religious service, ceremony or rite lawfully conducted by a priest or minister of religion in a place of worship
  • Any other circumstances as the Minister may, by order published in the Gazette, specify


Anyone found supplying liquor without a valid liquor licence shall be liable on conviction:

  • A fine not exceeding $20,000;
  • A fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or both for repeat offender

  • Under the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act 2015, any supply of liquor in Singapore will require a liquor licence issued by the Licensing Officer. “Liquor” is defined as a beverage and or substance, containing more than 0.5% ethanol by mass or volume.
