Procedure

Apply Online

1. To apply Student-Pass the applicant has to visit Immigration and Check Point Authority website link
2. Click on the “Pass holder” tab and click “Apply/Renew student pass tab” link
3. Click on the appropriate service and check the documents that are required to apply the student pass which is also mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Click on “Apply online” and enter personal details that are required and attach the documents and click submit.
5. After submission the applicant should pay the non-refundable fee of S$30 and download the receipt as a proof of payment.
6. The processing time for application is within five working days, excluding the date of submission. Some applications may take longer time to process. The applicant may enquire about the application status using the e-Service.

Note: The applicant will need to apply online using the e-Service at least 2 months and not more than 3 months before course begins.

Required Documents

• The Registration Acknowledgement Letter from the school you plan to attend
• Applicant’s travel document biodata page and birth certificate (if applicable)
• Applicant’s personal information, including the list of countries/ places you have previously resided in, your educational background, employment history and financial support
• Applicant’s parents’, spouse's, and/or siblings’ personal information (if applicable)
• Applicant’s residential address and contact details in Singapore
• Applicant’s email address
• Applicant’s recent, passport-sized, digital, colour photograph taken within the last three months.
• Valid identity card
• Valid passport

Eligibility

• Any person wishing to study in Singapore are eligible to make this application.

Fees

• A non-refundable of S$30 should be paid that varies up on the insurance of the student pass.

Instructions

• For new applicants, applications are to be submitted at least 2 months and not more than 6 months from the course commencement date.
• Applicants are not required to be present in Singapore while their applications are being considered. Applicants are advised to apply for a Students Pass before arriving in Singapore as no extension of stay will be granted while the applications are under processing.
• Applicants are advised to enter Singapore to complete the formalities for the issuance of a Students Pass only after their applications have been approved. They will be issued with Students Passes within one month from the course commencement date.
