ProcedureEdit
This procedure explains various ways to Obtain Bank Certificate in CALABARZON.
Apply In PersonEdit
- Here's how you can apply for a Bank Certificate in person. Just head over to your bank and file a request for the certificate. Please note that the application process differs per bank. For some banks, you may only request a bank certificate from a specific branch, this is usually the branch where you opened your account. For other banks it doesn't matter, they will still process your request even if you don't have an account on that specific branch.
- Go to the "New Accounts" desk and ask for a bank certificate request/service slip or application form. Some banks made their forms available online for download. You may print and fill out the form ahead of your visit to the bank to save you some time. Filling out the form is pretty easy, you just provide all the needed information specially the reason why you are requesting a bank certificate. But do make sure that you have written the correct account name and account number.
- Go over your application once again before you submit it to the bank officer. You may need to present your valid ID to prove that you are indeed the account holder.
- The bank officer will review your request and ask you how would you like to pay for the bank certificate. They can directly debit your account or you can pay for it in cash or check.
- The bank officer will process your request. Depending on the availability of the signatory, you may be able to collect your certificate on the same day or you may be asked to come back the next day to pick up your certificate.

Other uses of the Document/CertificateEdit
Given that a bank certificate is often needed when you apply for a visa, please do take note of the amount of cash you have on your account. Embassies requiring a bank statement usually look at your account's balance, when did you open your account and recent transactions. There is no clear cut rules on how much money you should have, but just to be safe make sure it is enough to sustain your daily needs while you are abroad and then some.
