ProcedureEdit

  1. A fishing license must be renewed every year. To renew a fishing license, an applicant will need to submit an application to the licensing department of the Marine Fisheries Office.
  2. Aside from the completed renewal form, you will also need to submit the following documents:
    1. A request for a license addressed to the Minister responsible for fisheries
    2. The articles of the company or the trade register
    3. The technical characteristics of the vessel
    4. The Act of nationality of the ship
  3. You do not need to pay anything when you submit your application. But after you have been advised that your application is approved for renewal and after you have completed all the required paperwork, you will receive a list of fees you will need to pay before your license is renewed. The cost of the license is based on the type of fishing and the gross tonnage of the ship.
  4. After payment of the fee, a license, signed by the Minister responsible for maritime fishing, is issued to the ship owner.

Note:

  • For lost or stolen license: You will need to go to a police station to make a declaration of loss and file the statement of loss with the Management of Marine Fisheries.
