Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. After the holding of the constitutive general assembly, the cooperative can then proceed with the application filing for the approval for a Housing Cooperative at the Ministry of Town Planning, Housing, Construction, and Hydraulics, Department of housing office (please view address details below).
2. Submit the request for the constitution of the housing cooperative, attach the supporting documents (mentioned under required document section below) to the competent authority office to be verified.
3. The officer will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria, if everything is in order, you will then be issued with an acknowledgment letter containing details of your application.
4. It is only after the deposit of the complete file that your application will be forwarded to the competent authority/department for evaluation and consideration.
5. If approved an inter ministerial decree of the ministers responsible for Housing and Agriculture is draw up, signed, and stamped, a summons is then sent to the person concerned inviting him/her to come and collect it from the Housing Department, on presentation of an identity document and the acknowledgment letter.

• The request for the constitution of the housing cooperative (standard form) signed by the 7 people constituting the initiative committee
• The attendance list of the constitutive general assembly
• The minutes of the constitutive general assembly
• A copy of the signed final articles of association, indicating, in particular, the amount of the initial capital subscribed to the cooperative and paid up, on the date of the holding of the constitutive meeting.
• Copy of the minutes of the 1st board of directors.
• The study of economic, financial, and social viability.
• The opinions of the service responsible for supporting cooperatives.
• Copy of the account opening receipt.
