Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Obtain a Social Security System card, the applicant has to complete the online application through the following link
2. The applicant has to click the “NO SS NUMBER YET?” under the apply for an SS number online.
3. Now the applicant has to click the “here” button.
4. Read all the step-by-step guides and click the “Start” button.
5. The applicant has to enter all the details in the registration verification process and click the “Submit” button.
6. Before the generation of an SS Number, review and correct the electronically filled-out registration form.
7. Click the "Generate SS Number" button then wait for the system to display the generated SS Number and an option to print the personal Record Form and SS Number Slip.
8. The registrant will also receive an email confirmation indicating the generated SS Number, a copy of the SS Number Slip, and further instructions on completing the application.
9. Print the ePersonal Record Form, SS Number Slip, and the SS Number Application Confirmation email body sent to the applicant by the SS Number Issuance System.
10. Finally, the applicant has to visit the nearest SSS branch and submit all the necessary documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
11. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
12. There is no fee for Social Security System card.
13. The applicant has to complete the biometric process.
14. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
15. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
16. The applicant has to visit the office to get the SSS card or through the mail.
17. This entire process can be completed within 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply In Person

1. To Obtain a Social Security System card, the applicant has to approach the Social Security Number link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. or it can be downloaded from the following link
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
7. There is no fee for Social Security System card.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
10. The applicant has to complete the biometric process.
11. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
12. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
13. The applicant has to visit the office to get the SSS card or through the mail.
