Procedure

• Individuals who wish to work in Qatar, may be required by their employers to undergo a health screening , so as to be able to secure the employment .
• For you to have a medical examination the first step is to book an appointment online to undergo an examination at the Medical Commission.
  
  

Apply In-Person

1. In Qatar, the Medical Commission is responsible for holding medical examinations with the aim of protecting the health of Qatar population and preventing spread of infectious diseases.
2. Individuals who want to obtain a medical examination for employment should first obtain a blood-type certificate that can be obtained from any clinic for a nominal fee, before taking up the Medical Commission examination.
3. The medical examination is done by visiting the Medical Commission, located on Al Muntazah Street, off the E-Ring Road. The medical commission is the authority responsible for conducting the medical examination.

   • Registration and medical examination may be carried out in the accredited private hospitals Al-Ahli Hospital, Doha Clinic Hospital, Al-Emadi Hospital for VIP employees and families only in accordance with the applicable procedures of these hospitals.

4. Once you visit the facility, present the required document as applicable to the commission’s officials. These documents include.

   • Original QID /Resident card/Passport of applicant seeking employment
   • Submit letter by the employer clarifying the post to which the applicant is nominated for.
   • (With a cell phone number mentioned)
   • Passport photo of applicant

5. You will be issued with a Medical Fitness Certificate Form to fill and submit. This form can also be downloaded from the Ministry of Public Health website through the following link. : link
6. The commission’s office will go through your documents and you will be asked to make the payment for the medical test.

   • The fee for the medical test is QR50 per individual,
   • A Debit/Credit Card is used for payment. Cash payment is not allowed.

7. After payment of the fees you will be summoned to take the medical examination.

   • The medical examination may include Blood Test, Chest X-Ray, Screening for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C. (the tests are mentioned in the medical fitness certificate form.

8. The results take a period of one to two weeks to come through. You can print Medical Health Certificate online or collect it from the Medical Commission

   • The original registration receipt must be presented if you want to collect the health certificate from the Medical Commission.
