Procedure

1.To obtain the student visa, you should start with locating a nearby authorized issuing agency. This is any Mozambique embassies, consulate offices or high commissions in home or neighbouring country;

2.When you have identified the most appropriate issuing agency, go to its premises and obtain visa application form which you must fill it carefully and accurately;

3.Thereafter you go to the identified issuing agency with the filled visa application form and support documents plus the prescribed visa fees;

4.At the issuing agency, make payment for the visa and also attach the payment slip on to the filled application form; and

5.Then you proceed with submit application together with all the support documents to the agency for visa processing;

Fees vary basing on the issuing agent. Fees for the Immigration Service in Mozambique are as below

Instructions

1.An applicant must ensure that he / she has a valid visa;

2.An applicant must ensure that admission is in a education institution in the country;

3.Applicants are argued to avoid give false information or submitting false documents;

4.Applicants must be of good character and health;

5.A student must be ready to comply with rules and regulations of immigration department and the country as a whole;

6.Ensure that you get authorization from parents / guardian;

7.Foreigners with diplomatic or service passports and Laissez Passer before applying for a visa must obtain get an authorization note from the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy, Consulate or International Organization concerned;

8.Applicants must know that making payment for a visa does not mean confirmation of issuance of visa, a visa application may be reject even when payments have been made;

9.Applicants must know that paid visa fees are not refundable in cases of rejection of visa application;

10.When visa is issued it does not confirmed authorization to enter into the country;

11.Entry is controlled by immigration department at the entry ports;

12.Always use designated ports to enter into the country;

13.Incomplete applications leads to delay in issuance of visa;

14.Applications should be submitted in person;

15.Application for minor applicants may be submitted by parents or authorized elder persons;

16.It is advisable not to submit notarized document but certified copies

A Mozambique student visa is issued to a foreigner to allow him / her accomplish his / her studies at an institution of higher education in Mozambique. Like any other visa, the Mozambique student is issued by the government through the Immigration Service and through Mozambican Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates abroad

1.Its important to note that all visitors to Mozambique who require visa in order to be able to enter Mozambique should acquire it prior to travel date. In cases where a visa cannot be obtained before and wish to apply for a border visa, a traveler should get authorization from the Direco Nacional de Migrao;

2.It is also important to take note of the operating hours and says of an identified issuing agency to avoid visiting the agency on non operational hours / days;
