Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain fishing gear permit or license, applicant has to visit the Fishermen Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) office.

3. Obtain the application form from the respective officer at MME office.
4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the fishermen affairs department in the MME office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After the verification process, the applicant will be later requested to collect the fishing gear permit or license on a specified date.

• Ship or boat owner who have Qatar ID card are eligible to apply.

• No fees are required for this service.

• Fishing gear permit valid for one year.
