Procedure

Applying for the Government's Student Loan Scheme:

• Applicants must apply online through their institution and submit supporting documents within the specified timelines as published. (Late applications may be considered in certain circumstances.)
• Applicants may be required to provide additional supporting documents.
• Please make sure that your application form is submitted, with all information completed together with the required supporting documents and information, on or before the deadline so that your application could be processed promptly.
• Submitting an application does not guarantee that financial aid will be granted.
• Student may track their application approval status online.
• Applicants awarded financial aid are required to update their personal details regularly, every two years for national students, and every year for non-national students.

Applying for a Student Loan Banks

• Several banks have launched a new education loan, featuring easy ways to qualify for the loan and the postponement of large payments until after graduation, where parents need only pay down the interest during the study period.
• A Student Loan Advisor can provide you with an estimate of the amount of educational debt you can reasonably afford, given the expected starting salary for your major.
• Please make sure that your application form is submitted, with all information completed together with the required supporting documents and information, on or before the deadline so that your application could be processed promptly.

Required Documents

• Complete the Online application form for the financial aid.
• A copy of the identity card or (residency for non-Qataris) for sponsor and student's jobless family members mentioned in the application form.
• Total-salary certificate to the guardian or the students sponsor (the certificate is not to exceed three months from the date of issuance).
• A certificate from the Ministry of Justice (Real-estate and Documentation Department) of the property of the sponsor. (the certificate is not to exceed three months from the date of issuance).
• A certificate with the total amount from Qatar Central Securities Depository showing the sponsors property. (The certificate is not exceed three months from the date of issuance)
• A letter from the Ministry of Business and Trade (Trade License Section) showing the commercial licenses of the sponsor. (The certificate is not exceed three months from the date of issuance)
• Account certificate letter from the bank ( QNB or Al Rayyan QU branch) for students who apply for monthly financial aids only .
• In Case of Guardian Death: Student must provide the following documents: Death, guardian salary certificates and documentation of student's jobless family members mentioned in the Application Form. Note: the required documents of items 4, 5 and 6 should include student's name.
• International Students: Must provide To whom it may concern letter from the bank ( QNB or Al Rayyan QU branch) for the account certificate only.
• Student with divorced parents, or Divorced female student: Formal document from the court (verdict).

Financial aid is a loan-based program that gives undergraduate students at Education City an equal opportunity to receive a quality university education. All resident and non-resident international students that demonstrate financial need are eligible to apply for a financial aid loan.

Students Financial Aids could be represented by one of the following:

• Monthly financial aids.
• Lump sum financial aids.
• Labtop Loan
• Transportation Fees
• Desktop

Here, it is worthy noted that each student can benefit of only one of the three above types within the academic year.
