For Adults
- Fill up a passport application online. You may also download and print out the application form and manually fill it up.
- Submit your application form along with all other required documents to the administrative annex cadat or place of residence of the applicant. A receipt will be issued by the local authority to the applicant as proof of application.
- You can monitor your passport application by checking it online, log in using your personal information (name, surname and date of birth) and the file number of the application that appears on the receipt that is given at the time of submission of the request.
- Biometric passports must be collected personally by the applicant upon presentation of the receipt and an identity document. In case of renewal, you must present your old passport or the declaration of loss, in order for you to receive the new one. Unclaimed Passport for over six months from the date of filing of the application will be, cancelled.
For minors aged between 12 and 18 years
- The legal representative of the minor must fill up a passport application online. Or the legal representative may also download and print out the application form and manually fill it up.
- The legal representative shall submit the application form along with all other required documents to the administrative annex cadat or place of residence of the applicant. The applicant must have his/her fingerprints collected by the passport officer, unless he/she holds a national electronic identity card or has already performed this step in a previous request. This procedure can be accomplished at relevant departments of the General Directorate of National Security services upon presentation of application of biometric passport. After completion of this procedure, DGNS shall issue to the legal representative of the applicant a receipt, a certified copy thereof shall be attached to the application file before it is filed with the administrative annex cadat or place of residence of the applicant . The legal representative of the minor applicant may, if he wishes, obtain a national electronic identity at the end of the procedure for fingerprinting in accordance with the legislation in force.

In case of loss or theft of the old passport, the legal representative of the applicant shall provide a declaration of loss or theft. Unclaimed Passport for over six months from the date of filing of the application will be, cancelled.
For minors under the age of 12
- The legal representative of the minor must fill up a passport application online. Or the legal representative may also download and print out the application form and manually fill it up.
- The application of biometric passports is filed by the applicant's legal representative to the administrative annex cadat or place of residence of the applicant. The presence of the minor is required at the time of filing. A receipt is issued by the local authority to the legal representative of the applicant.

For Adults
- Completed application form, duly dated and signed.
- For Applicants in Morocco: Photocopy of a valid National Identity Card Electronics (NIEC) or photocopy of the receipt for filing the application for the issuance or renewal of the NIEC. If the applicant has supported his request with a copy of the deposit slip the application for the issuance or renewal of the NIEC, it must also produce:
- Copy of birth certificate or a full copy of the register of civil status not older than three months
- Certificate of residence issued by the local administrative authority in the place where the applicant habitually resides, must not be older than 3 months.
- For applicants abroad: Photocopy of a valid National Identity Card Electronics (NIEC) or photocopy of the receipt for filing the application for the issuance or renewal of the NIEC. If the applicant has supported his request with a copy of the original receipt for filing the application for the issuance or renewal of the NIEC, it must also produce:
- Copy of birth certificate or a copy of the full register Vital.
- Proof of residence or registration certificate.
For Minors Aged 12 to 18 years old
- Completed application form, duly dated and signed by the legal representative of the applicant.
- Extract of birth certificate or a full copy of the register of civil status not older than three months.
- Certificate of residence issued by the local administrative authority in the place where the applicant habitually resides, must not be older than 3 months.
- Proof of the quality of the legal representative and his/her relationship to the minor or the minor's guardian, when it comes to a person other than the father or mother.
- A photocopy of the receipt issued by the DGNS following the completion of the procedure gathering fingerprints.
- Two recent, identical passport photographs, light blue or gray, 35mm x 45 mm, clearly showing the whole face of the applicant. Sample Photo

EligibilityEdit
- Biometric Passports are issued to all Moroccan citizens, unless there is a court decision issued preventing a citizen from obtaining one.
- Biometric passports are issued upon the request of the interested party or his/her legal representative, in the case of a minor or an adult under guardianship.
- For adults, the biometric passport is established on the basis of national electronic identity card (NIEC) or receipt of the request of the NIEC issued by the General Directorate of National Security.
- For minors who do not possess NIEC, the biometric passport is based on the extract of birth.
- In case of renewal, the applicant may apply for a new passport after cancelling the old one.
- For passport request received abroad: Minors aged 12 to 18 must be presented to the officer responsible when applying for a NIEC in the Moroccan consular service in the country they are currently residing, to complete the procedure for gathering fingerprints.

Need for the DocumentEdit
A passport is a document, issued by the national government. It certifies the identity and nationality of the holder for travel abroad. It contains information about the holder; like name, gender, date and place of birth.
This document does not in itself entitle the passport holder entry into another country, nor consular protection while abroad nor any other privileges. However, it does normally allows the passport holder to return to the country where the passport was issued.
Rights to consular protection arises from international treaties, while the holder's return to the issuing country depends on the laws prevailing in that country.
