Procedure

• This service is provided for equipment approval from General Directorate of Civil Defense.
  

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for equipment approval with the Civil Defense Service, one needs to make an application with the General Directorate of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
2. The first step is to approach the General Directorate of Civil Defense offices where you will be issued with an Equipment Approval Form to fill and submit. The application form can be also obtained from the MOI Website or can be accessed using the following link: Equipment Approval Form and filled beforehand.
3. Fill in all the required information correctly and then attach the required documents. These include :

   • Identification document of the applicant
   • commercial licenses
   • previous certificate (if any)
   • Municipality license
   • Equipment catalogs and certificates.

4. Submit the completed application form and required documents to civil defense offices for processing.
5. The application will be processed and you will be issued with a time of appointment to pick your approval permit.
6. The General Department of Civil Defense will go ahead inspect the equipment to determine if their quality are up to standard and they adhere to prescribed safety specifications. If everything is in order your application will be approved.
7. The processing time is usually between three to five days. However, the processing time may vary depending on the accuracy of the information you gave in your application form
8. Once the processing is done you will be issued with a permit of approval.

• You may need to provide a sample of the equipment to be examined when required by the Civil Defence.

1. Download and fill out the Equipment Approval Form
2. Fill it and address it to the director of the General Directorate for Civil Defense.
3. Attach copies of commercial licenses, previous certificate (if any), Municipality license and equipment catalogues and certificates.
4. Provide a sample from the material to be examined when required.
