- This service is provided to accredited companies for approving engineering drawings From General Directorate of Civil Defense.
Apply In-Person
- To apply for approval of engineering drawings with the Civil Defense Service, accredited contractors/companies need to make an application with the General Directorate of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
- The first step is to approach the General Directorate of Civil Defense offices where you will be issued with an Application for Approval for Fire Safety Plans form to fill and submit. The application form can be also obtained from the MOI Website or can be accessed using the following link:Drawing Approval Form and filled beforehand.
- Fill in all the required information correctly and then attach the required documents. These include copies of the engineering drawings.
- Submit the completed application form and required documents to civil defense offices for processing. These documents include:
- Identification document of applicant/Owner
- Copies of the engineering drawings.
- Completed application form.
- Building permit application,
- Land drawings and plans, ID card
- ownership document
- Area plan
- Any other document as required by the civil defense officers
- The application will be processed and you will be issued with a time of appointment to pick your approval certificate.
- The General Department of Civil Defense will go ahead and study the architectural designs for all premises and review safety specifications. If everything is in order your application will be approved.
- The processing time is usually between three to five days. However, the processing time may vary depending on the accuracy of the information you gave in your application form
- Once the processing is done you will be issued with an “establishment certificate” for your engineering drawings.
