- This service is provided for the engineers and technicians to get the approval from the Civil Defense.
Apply In-Person
- Engineers and technicians who seek to get the approval from the Civil Defense can do this by making an application with the General Directorate of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
- The first step to do this is to approach the General Directorate of Civil Defense offices where you will be issued with an Engineer Technician Approval Form to fill and submit. The application form can be also obtained from the MOI Website or can be accessed using the following link: Engineer Technician Approval Form and filled beforehand.
- Fill in all the required information correctly, print the completed application form, and then attach the required documents. These include:
- CV of the engineer/technician
- Engineer Certificate from the Accreditation Committee of Engineers
- QID of engineer/technician.
- Submit your request and pay the appropriate fees for application and ID Card.
- After making the application the civil Defense Department will later contact the engineer for the test to determine his/her expertise.
- After the engineer passes the exam, an approval message will be sent to the engineer.
- A certificate of approval will be issued to the successful engineer. She/he is to collect the certificate from the Civil Defense Department offices, after completing the payment process.
- After the whole process each engineer will receive an ID card from the Civil Defense Department

- The first step is to log in with your smartcard to the e-services portal of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) by clicking on the MOI Services tab and selection the E-services option.
- If you do not have an account with the MOI e-portal, you have to register for the services using your smart card.
- Login with your smartcard to the MOI e-services portal.
- Once you have logged in select “Civil Defense Services” then click on “Engineer Registration”.
- Select the “Applicant Information” page to enter or modify basic data about the applicant.
- Once this is done select the “Engineer Transaction Data” page to enter the detailed information about the engineer or technician to be approved.
- You should then select the Employee Type (Engineer - Technician), and in case of selection of “Engineer”, define if he works inside the country (internal/ local engineer) or outside the country (external/outsourced engineer).
- Enter QID number and name of engineer or technician (for internal/ local engineers).
- Select nationality, qualification, and specialization of the engineer or technician.
- Only for engineers: If the engineer you want to get approved already obtained a certificate of acceptance from the Qatari Engineer Acceptance Committee, select “Certified”, then enter the certificate date, validity date, acceptance and registration number in the said Committee in the appropriate fields.
- Only for engineers who obtained acceptance certificates from the Committee: Select the engineer classification (first – second – third) from the “Category” list box, according to the classification given by the Qatari Engineer Acceptance Committee.
- You can click on “Add” to add a record for the target engineer or technician and display it in the list shown at the bottom of the page, then click on “Next”. This will lead you to the next page.
- Here attach the following required documents, these include:
- CV of the engineer
- Engineer Certificate from the Accreditation Committee of Engineers
- QID of engineer
- Submit your request and pay appropriate fees using a credit card.
- After making the application the civil Defense Department will later contact the engineer for the test to determine his/her expertise.
- After the engineer passes the exam, an approval message will be sent to the engineer.
- The required certificate is received through the e-services portal of MOI via (My Requests), after completing the payment process.
- After the whole process each engineer will receive an ID card from the Civil Defense Department.

- After the whole process, each engineer will receive an ID card from the Civil Defense Department.
- The engineer or technician is committed to implementing the civil defense measures, as well as security and safety rules determined by the competent authority, in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Defense Law No. (25) Of 2015.
