Procedure

• One needs an exit permit to leave Qatar for whatever circumstance.
• This service enables Qatari citizens to submit a request online, on the website of the Ministry of Interior (MOI), to issue exit permits to their sons and daughters.
• The permit is valid for seven days from the date of issuance.

Apply Online

This service enables Qatari citizens to submit a request online, on the website of the Ministry of Interior (MOI), to issue exit permits to their sons and daughters.

1. The first step is to log in with your smartcard to the e-services portal of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) by clicking on the MOI Services tab and selection the E-services option.
2. If you do not have an account with the MOI e-portal, you have to register for the services using your smart card.
3. Once logged in, click on "Exit Permit Services” Menu on the dashboard then click on the “Issue Exit Permit for Citizen” link.
4. On the next page choose the person for whom the exit permit needs to be issued, from the list displayed by the system.
5. Fill in the required information. These include; date of exit, country of destination, proposed date of return etc. and click on “Next” button.
6. Review information to ensure that everything is okay.
7. If everything is okay, enter your email address and click on the “Submit” button for processing to begin.
8. A soft copy of the exit permit will be sent to your email address, while one copy will be available for printing in the e-portal.
9. Print the exit permit at present issue them to the one travelling.

Apply In-Person

1. To make an application to Issue an exit permit to Qatari citizens, the applicant (Father / Mother /Guardian) needs to make an application to the General Directorate of Passports and Expatriate Affairs Department of the Ministry of Interior.
2. You can do this by visiting the General Directorate of Passports and Expatriate Affairs Department offices in person. Here you will be issued with a “Travel Permit for Qataris Application” form to fill and submit. This form can also be downloaded from the Ministry of Interior MOI Website or it can be downloaded from the following link Travel Permit for Qataris Application Form
3. Fill in the form correctly and mention the individual whom you are applying for
4. Attach the required documents and submit them to the General Directorate of Passports and Expatriate Affairs Department Offices of the Ministry of Interior. The required documents are also mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Department’s officials will go through your application and if everything is in order they will begin the exit permit processing.
6. The application process takes a period of one day before the exit permit is issued
7. Once ready the applicant will be notified to collect the exit permit reflecting the names of the children (son/daughter)
