Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for a Scholarship to the ISSFAM (The Social Security Institute for the Mexican Armed Forces), the applicant has to approach the Social Security Institute for the Mexican Armed Forces link
2. The applicant has to visit the office with the request letter.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
8. There is no fee for a Scholarship to the ISSFAM (The Social Security Institute for the Mexican Armed Forces).
9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
10. After submitting the application, the applicant may be required to attend an interview with an ISSFAM representative. During the interview, the applicant will be asked questions about the educational goals and the family's financial situation.
11. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number or through email.
12. If the application is approved, the applicant will receive notification from ISSFAM, which will outline the details of the scholarship, including the amount of funding the applicant will receive and any conditions or requirements he/she must meet to maintain the scholarship.
13. This entire process can be completed within 20 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
