Procedure

1. You can request for copies of a marriage certificate in person at the Civil Registry Office. Make sure that you bring a valid identification in case the registry officer will need to verify your identity.
2. When you submit your request at the Civil Register make sure that you have provided these important details which will make searching for the record easier:
   1. name of spouses
   2. date and place of marriage
3. Pay for the certificate.

Instructions

The marriage certificate is issued by the Ministry of Justice. The civil register includes marriages for Omani citizens and of the expatriates residing in the Sultanate if one party is an Omani.
