EligibilityEdit

Driver certificate of professional competence:

  • New professional drivers must, complete 280 hours of training followed by a theoretical test. 20 of these hours will consist of individual driving in a relevant vehicle category.
  • It will also be possible to complete an accelerated training programme of 140 hours, but this will entail some limitation of entitlements for the 1823 age group. Ten of these hours will consist of individual driving in the vehicle category you seek professional qualifications. If you opt for the accelerated training programme, you must take the same test as those who complete full initial qualification.
  • In order to expand your driving licence to another vehicle category (bus to lorry or vice versa), 70 hours (or 35 hours of accelerated training) is required, five of which will consist of individual driving in the new vehicle. There will also be a theory test with questions relating to vehicle-specific topics.

FeesEdit

  • Theoretical Test: 580 NOK
  • Issuance of Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC): 270 NOK

ValidityEdit

The Driver CPC is valid for five years.

A 35-hour periodic training course must be completed every five years, prior to each renewal.
