ProcedureEdit

Apply Online

  1. Log in through Link
  2. From the passport menu.
    • Click on “Apply for Passport Renewal” tab.
    • Choose “Standard e-passport” from the passport type drop down.
    • Select “Country” from processing country drop down e.g. Nigeria.
    • Click “Start” application.
    • Fill the form and complete the fields provided with the correct details.
    • Tick “I accept full responsibility for the information provided in this form”.
  3. The portal generates an application ID and reference Number unique to your application.
  4. You are prompted to print the acknowledgment form and “Continue application”.
    • Click continue.
  5. Click “Proceed to online payments”.
    • Please note these are the ONLY authorized payment platform.
  6. Select any of these: Innovate1pay, Net post pay, Pay Arena, Teasy, Saana pay.
    • Click Continue.
  7. You have an option of card or bank payment.
    • Select proceed to payment.
  8. If card option chosen, complete details.
  9. If bank; Print slip for further processing at bank where you pay at bank’s POS cash.
    • Please Note: The approved payment gateway is as stated on the portal.
  10. Submit application letter with other requirements in person at the passport office chosen during online application.
Note: Applicants are require to appear at chosen Immigration Office for photograph and biometric data capturing if current passport is more than six (6) months old.

  • Acknowledgement Slip and Evidence of Payment.


Unexpired Validity

  • Application Letter;

  • If Validity is more than Six (6) Months, Applicant should state reason(s);
  • Photocopy of Data Page of Passport;
  • Acknowledgement Slip and Evidence of Payment.

InstructionsEdit

To check payment status:

  • Move the mouse pointer over Passports on the menu bar, and then click on Application home on the menu bar.
  • Move the mouse pointer over the Services Link on the menu bar, on the drop down menu that appears, click on Check Payment Status.
  • Enter your reference number and Application ID issued to you when you submitted your application.
  • Choose the correct option for application type and click on Search Record.


Required InformationEdit

To continue availing the benefits of the passport, the individual needs to renew the passport before the expiry or after the validity expires.

There are 5 different passport types. Standard, Diplomatic, Official, Seamans, Pilgrims.

  • Standard - This passport type is for the general public
  • Diplomatic - This passport type is for protocol officers in government and Government ambassadors.
  • Official - This passport type is for Government officials.
  • Seamans - This Passport Type is for Sailors.

Requesting a Refund:
Refund requests are considered valid up to 6 months from date of payment, no exceptions. To request a refund, please email [email protected] with details of your request and supporting documents if any. Refund requests are processed in the order in which they are received, and you will have the opportunity to provide Nigeria Immigration Service with all the necessary details required to process any refunds that fall within the Acceptable Reasons for a Refund.
