Apply In Person

  1. To apply for the Certificate de Gage, the applicant should make the application to the National Land Transport Authority (NLTA). Please view the National Land Transport Authority contact details through this Contact details.
  2. Obtain the deed of sale for the National Land Transport Authority office or download it through this Deed of Sale and complete it as required.
  3. The applicant should visit the National Land Transport Authority office and pay the application fee of Rs.(MUR) 50 and obtain the payment receipt.
  4. Then submit the complete application along with the required documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below.
  5. At the office, the applicant should then submit the document to the National Land Transport Authority official at the service desk.
  6. The official will verify the documents and check the vehicle’s information.
  7. Upon completion of the verification process, the official will initiate the processing of the certificate.
  8. The certificate will be processed and issued to the applicant.

Document to be produced by Vendor:

  • Two Deed of sales.
  • Original Registration Book.
  • New Original ID or Original Valid Passport of Vendor and Purchaser.
  • Payment receipt.


Document to be produced by Purchaser:

  • Two Original Deed of sales.
  • Original Registration Book.
  • New Original ID or Original Valid Passport of Vendor.
  • Payment receipt.
  • Authorization letter.
  • New Original ID or Original Valid Passport of the purchaser.
  • Purchaser should ensure that Vendor has signed exactly as on NID/Passport.


Document to be produced by a company vendor

  • Original Deed of sales.
  • Original Registration Book.
  • New Original ID or Original Valid Passport of Vendor.
  • Copy of BRN of the company.


Document to be produced by a Representative of a company.

  • Original Deed of sales.
  • Original Registration Book.
  • New Original ID Vendor or Original Valid Passport of Vendor.
  • Either a joint authorization letter from Vendor and Company or two separate authorization letters from the Vendor Company. (duly signed and Stamped).
  • New Original ID or Original Valid Passport of representative.
  • The Company should assure that Vendor has signed exactly as on NID/Passport.
  • Copy of BRN of the company.
  • Payment receipt.
