Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for renewing Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

3. Visit the NCAA office and obtain an application form for renewing Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License from the relevant department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form with necessary details and attach the required documents with the completed form.
6. Then, proceed to submit the application package to the Director General at the office in person for further processes.
7. After successful submission, pay the cost of application and for the renewal of the license as directed by the officials.
8. On receipt of the stipulated payment, the authority will start the assessment of the application and verification of the attached documents.
9. The applicant will be issued with an official receipt of payment which should be submitted at the time of receiving the license upon presentation of an identification or letter of authority.
10. Once all the necessary processes are over and Permit is ready to be issued, the applicant will be informed through phone or email to collect it.
11. If the application is not satisfactory, a Letter of Denial written to the applicant within 24 hours informing the applicant reasons for such denial and advice the applicant on the outstanding documents to meet his or her request.
12. Further processing will depend on when the applicant submits the outstanding documents.

Eligibility

• Any Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license holder, whose license is about to expire, can apply for a renewal if he/she wishes to continue utilizing the license.
• The applicant should have been utilizing the license for the past two years and show an applicable evidence.
