Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for the Registration of Exporters of Waste PET Bottles or PET Flakes or Recyclers of Waste PET Bottles into Reusable Goods in person, the applicant has to approach the Mauritius Revenue Authority Contact link or Contact link
- The applicant must download the application form from this website - link or the applicant can get the application form from the relevant authority.
- The applicant has to fill in the relevant application form, which can be found online or at the Mauritius Revenue Authority.
- The applicant must provide documentary evidence of his/her eligibility to operate as an exporter or recycle of waste PET bottles in Mauritius and they can be found under the “Required Document” section of this page.
- The applicant must submit the duly filled application form along with the documentary evidence to the Mauritius Revenue Authority.
- The Mauritius Revenue Authority will review the application and documentary evidence submitted by the applicant and may request additional information if required.
- Upon successful review, the Mauritius Revenue Authority will issue the Registration Certificate to the applicant.
- The applicant must pay the relevant registration fees as specified by the Mauritius Revenue Authority for the registration.
- A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
- On successful registration, the applicant can start exporting or recycling of waste PET bottles in Mauritius.
- Generally, processing times can range from two to four weeks, but it is possible for some applications to take longer.

- A valid environmental impact assessment prepared and approved by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
- A valid waste management and pollution control plan prepared and approved by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
- A valid certificate of origin issued by the Mauritius Export Promotion Council (MEPC).
- A valid contract with a foreign buyer or importer.
- A valid certificate of conformity to international standards issued by a recognized certification body.
- A valid export health certificate issued by the Mauritius Health Authority.
- Proof of payment of the relevant export taxes and duties.
- Proof of payment of the relevant export license fees.
