Apply In Person

  1. To apply for an Enlargement of Tapping, the applicant should make the application to the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office. Please view the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office contact details through this Contact Details.
  2. To obtain the application form, applicants should visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office near them and collect the application form, at the reception of the office or download or download the form directly through this Application Form for an Enlargement of Tapping.
  3. Read and complete the application form as required and then print the form. Note that if the application will be submitted by a third party, then the third party should complete the proxy section of the application form.
  4. Then the applicant should obtain all the required supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below and attach the documents to the application form in a single file.
  5. Visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office and submit the application file to the officer at the service desk for verification.
  6. The officer will verify the application dossier to confirm if the form is completed as required and if the applicant has provided all the required supporting documents.
  7. Upon the verification process, the applicant will be required to pay the necessary fees at the cashier’s section as mentioned in the “Fees” section below.
  8. After making the payment, the applicant will be issued the acknowledgment receipt of the application and a site inspection date will be scheduled by the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office.
  9. On the scheduled date, mandated inspectors will visit the applicant site to investigate the possibility and expenses of enlarging the tapping.
  10. The inspectors will conduct the inspection and write a quotation of the total expenses the applicant will incur for the enlargement.
  11. The applicant should visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office and pay the fee for the required fee and obtain the receipt.
  12. Then the applicant should seek clearance from the road excavation from the Road and local authority.
  13. Then the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office will complete the enlargement and complete all the necessary works at the site.


Apply through Email

  1. Alternatively, applicants can submit the completed application form along with all the required supporting documents to the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office through this email address: [email protected]
  2. Once the application is received by the CWA, the applicant will receive an email from the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office confirming that the request has been taken into consideration and given further instructions.
  3. The applicant will then be required to visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office near him/her and pay the processing fees, upon which the applicant will be issued with a receipt.
  4. After making the payment, the applicant will be issued the acknowledgment receipt of the application and a site inspection date will be scheduled by the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office.

  2. Once the application is received by the CWA, the applicant will receive a mail from the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office confirming that the request has been taken into consideration and given further instructions.
  3. The applicant will then be required to visit the Central Water Authority Mauritius (CWA) office near him/her and pay the processing fees, upon which the applicant will be issued with a receipt.
