ProcedureEdit

  1. To apply for a permit to export horticultural produces, you should make your application to the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Services (NAQS). Visit the NAQS website to make your application online: - NAQS website.
  2. On the website, enter your user’s name and password to log in if you have an account or click on the “Sign Up here” hyperlink to create your account.
  3. On the registration page, complete the online registration form, enter the captcha words, and then click on the “Register” button to submit your registration details.
  4. You will receive a notification informing you that your account was successfully created and you should log in to the email you provided during registration and confirm your membership.
  5. Go to your email account and open the activation email from the NAQS and then click on the link provided to activate your membership.
  6. Then log in to your NAQS account and select apply for export certificate option to proceed to the first stage of the permit application.
  7. View your registration details and select your preferred service provider and then click on the “Continue” button to go to the second stage of the application.
  8. Complete the application form on page 2 by providing all the required details correctly and then click on the “Apply” button
  9. You will receive a notification informing you that you have successfully submitted your application and a confirmation email has also been sent to you via the email address provided during your account registration.
  10. Contact your service provider and issue the service provider with all the required documents for the export permit.
  11. Your service provider will verify all the provided documents and prepare all the necessary documentation and send them to the NAQS for assessment and confirmation.
  12. The NAQS will assess your application to determine if it meets all the required standards and approve the application.
  13. You will then receive an email informing you that your export permit is ready for collection.
