Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License, you should make your application to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). You can view the NCAA contact details through this link NCAA Contacts.
  2. Visit the NCAA office and obtain the application form for the aircraft maintenance engineer’s license along with the guidelines and requirement form.
  3. Complete the application form as instructed and attach all the required supporting documents mentioned in the guideline and requirement form.
  4. Go to the NCCA tracking office and submit the complete application along with all the required supporting documents to the Licensing Directorate.
  5. After receiving the application and the attached documents, the application will be subjected to an assessment process in the Licensing Directorate by a Licence Examiner/Aviation Strategies International (ASI).
  6. Then obtain the payment slip for the processing fee from the NCAA office and make the payment at the designated bank for NCAA payment and obtain the payment receipt.
  7. After you have paid the processing fee, go to the NCAA office and submit the bank’s payment receipt to the NCAA cash office and in return, you will be issued with the official NCAA payment receipt.
  8. Then submit the NCAA payment receipt to the Licensing Directorate for confirmation of payment.
  9. The responsible official at the Licensing Directorate office will verify the payment and then authorize the processing of the license.
  10. You will then be informed when the license ready for collection and you will be required to present a valid identification document to collect the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License. Alternatively, if you have sent a representative to collect the license on your behalf, the representative must produce a signed authorization letter.

You must be eighteen years and above to be eligible to apply for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License and meet all the required standards as mentioned in Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs) Part 2, Section 2.6.2.2 CARs Part 2

InstructionsEdit

If your application does not meet the required standard, or the documents you have submitted along with your application fail the assessment process, the NCAA will write a letter of denial and issue it to you within 24 hours of submitting your application informing you the reasons for such denial and advice you on the outstanding documents to meet the required standards for the application for further processing.
