ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for obtaining a Firearm Tax-free License or Permit in person, the applicant must visit the office of Police Commissioner in his/her state.
  2. The address and contact details can be found in the following contact link
  3. Visit the office of Police Commissioner and make a request that you want to apply for a Firearm Tax-free License or Permit to the relevant official.
  4. The concerned official will issue you an application form for the license. Complete the application form with all the required information as asked.
  5. After completing, submit the application form along with all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page to the Commissioner of Police.
  6. The application and attached documents will be go through step-by-step verification and validation processes.
  7. If the application and corresponding documents are found sufficient, the officials will proceed to take required actions for the issuing the license.
  8. Once the license is ready to be collected, the applicant will be contacted through email or phone and asked to collect it by any applicable means.

  • Any Manufacturer, who is about to further manufacture firearms or resale to a second buyer, can apply.
  • Any individual, who needs firearms as supplies on shipping vessels and aircraft, can apply.
  • Any Non-Profit Educational Organization, which is in need to possess firearm, can apply.

  • The sanity report should speak on the mental health of the applicant in order to make sure that he/she is rationally able.
  • The physical fitness report should indicate the dimensions and strength of the applicant’s chest to check whether he/she is fit to be protected from the sharp retraction that occurs when a bullet is fired.
  • The applicant is also required to submit a sufficient reason and provide the purpose of possessing of a firearm.
