ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for De-registration of Aircraft from Aircraft Registry in person, the applicant has to make an application at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority.
  2. The address and contact details of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) can be found in the following: contact link
  3. Visit the NCAA office with a written application for De-registration of Aircraft from the Aircraft Registry.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Attach the required documents with the written application.
  6. Then, proceed to submit the application package to the relevant authority at the office in person for further processes.
  7. After successful submission, pay the cost of application and for the de-registration process as directed by the officials.
  8. On receipt of the stipulated payment, the agency will start the assessment of the application and verification of the attached documents.
  9. Once all the necessary processes are over, the applicant will be informed through phone or email regarding de-registration and the aircraft will be deregistered from the Aircraft Registry.

  • The applying person, should present an applicable proof supporting the reason of De-registration.

Need for the DocumentEdit

If a registered Aircraft in Nigeria, needs to be deregistered from the aircraft registry for any of the reasons like hijack of the aircraft, damage or destruction of the aircraft, expiration of Airworthiness or lease agreement, the respective authority must notify the NCAA and obtain a notice of deregistration.
