ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Outdoor Advertisements Service in person, the applicant has to visit the Highways Planning and Development Department of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing.
  2. The address and contact details can be found in the following contact link
  3. Visit the office with a letter of application to obtain Outdoor Advertisements Service from the Highways Planning and Development Department.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Attach the required documents with the letter of application and submit it to the relevant authority at the office.
  6. After successful submission, the applicant must pay the required charges for obtaining the service.
  7. On receipt of the stipulated payment, the agency will start the assessment of the application and verification of the attached documents.
  8. An Inspection by Ministry officials from Headquarters and Field office will be conducted at the applicant’s premises, jointly.
  9. Once all these processes are over and permit is ready to be issued, the applicant will be informed through phone or email to collect it.


Apply Online

  1. To apply for Outdoor Advertisements Service online, the applicant has to visit the following apply online
  2. Visit the link and if you already have an account, enter the user details in the respective fields. Then click “Login” button.
  3. If not, click the link below that to create a new account. In the next page, read the information carefully and click a button as applicable.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom in the next page and click the “How to Apply” button. Read the instructions present in the following page and click “Click here to apply” button.
  5. Complete the registration form and click “Submit” button. A confirmation email will be sent to the provided email address.
  6. Click on it to verify the account and login into the account using the user details. Inside the profile, click the “HDMI Type” drop-down and select the “Advertising and Street Lighting Assets” option.
  7. Upload the supporting documents required for completing the registration by clicking the “Choose file” button.
  8. After uploading all the documents, click “Complete Registration” button. Upon successful submission, the applicant must pay the required charges for obtaining the service by following the onscreen instructions.
  9. On receipt of the stipulated payment, the agency will start the assessment of the application and verification of the attached documents.
  10. An Inspection by Ministry officials from Headquarters and Field office will be conducted at the applicant’s premises, jointly.

  • Sworn affidavit disclosing that no member is in money interest with the bidder
  • Proposals for landscaping or beautification
  • Proposals for waste management and other improvements, if applicable
  • Undertaking for not harming the Environment

FeesEdit

Fees for Outdoor Advertisements approval can be found below:

  • Signboards up to 2m2: N500
  • Bill Boards up to 2m2: N1000
  • Uni-poles/Gantry (m2): N2500
  • Each Lamp post: N15000
