Procedure

There are 3 ways through which you can apply for learner driver license.

Apply through Driving School
It would be a better option to apply through driving schools because they take care of all the paperworks required, but they would charge you for the service : Driving Schools Malaysia

Apply through On-line

Apply In-Person

1. The applicant should approach the nearest Road Transport Office (RTD) which can be found out from the following link : Office Locations
2. Following is the application form that should be submitted along with the document : Completed Application Form JPJ L1
3. Before approaching RTD office, Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under Required Documents section of this page.
4. The authorities in the RTD office should be able to help you with guiding in getting learner driver license.

Required Documents

• Completed application Form JPJL1
• NRIC / Passport (original / copy).
• Certificate for the 6-hour Theory and Practical Course (JPJL2B).
• Designated Driving Test Card JPJL3.
• Certificate / Test Result Slip for Part 1.
• 1 colour photo (25 mm x 32 mm).
• JPJ L2B Certificate exemption letter (if you already have a Class B2 Driving License).

Eligibility

• Must be 16 years and above.

Fees

• RM 27.00 for the first test.
• RM 27.00 for retesting.

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.
