Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Gather and prepare all the required documents for your application and visit the Malawi immigration department office in your location to obtain the application form
2. Fill the application from with the correct information and attach all the required documents to it.
3. Submit the complete application at the immigration department office for verification and processing
4. The receiving immigration officer will verify the application and forward it for processing
5. Once the process is complete and the application is approved, you will be notified and requested to collect it form the immigration office.
   
   

Apply Online

1. Visit the Malawi e-permit portal through this link: Apply Online
2. Create an account by clicking on the “Login” hyperlink on the information bar and select “create an account” proceed to setting up your account and login.
3. Once you have logged in, click on “New” at the information bar to commence your application.
4. Open the Drop-box and scroll down to choose “Diplomatic Permit (DP)”
5. Scroll to the bottom of the page as you read about the permit and cross check if you have the necessary documents
6. At the bottom of the page, click on “Apply Now” to start your application
7. Fill all the required information in all the pages and submit your application for processing and issuing of the DP Permit
