Need for the DocumentEdit

Registration is the process whereby qualified Liberian are registered by the National Elections Commission of Liberia (NEC) as voters. Registering as a voter will give you the opportunity to elect leaders for your country at the national and county levels. You can only participate in elections if you are a registered voter.

It is your right and duty as a responsible citizen to elect your leaders and only registered persons are allowed by law to participate in elections in Liberia. Once a person has been entered into the voters register after registering then that person is deemed to be a legally registered Voter and can participate in elections.

Once you live and pay taxes in Liberian, you must contribute your quotas by going to the polls to deciding who should be your leader. This can only be done if you are a registered voter with legitimate voters cards to vote.
