1.To apply for an animal registration permit, start by visiting the Ministry of Agriculture department of Animal Resources and find out what is required to successfully get the permit;
2.Thereafter prepare all documents required and make copies;
3.Prepare an application for animal registration permit; and
4.Submit application together with required documents to the Ministry of Agriculture;
5.When application is submitted, the animal is inspected, examined and verified but an officer from the Ministry of Agriculture. This is done to ensure that the animal is safe and free from diseases and pest;
6.When quarantine of animals is complete, the ministry shall then issue a certificate / permit to the applicant.

2.Ensure that animal is health;
3.Animals entering Liberia must be vaccinated for rabies and other diseases;
4.Importers must ensure that vaccination is done between 30 days and 12 months before to traveling to Liberia;
5.The Veterinary Certificate for Liberia must be completed by a licensed veterinarian;
6.The Veterinary Certificate for Liberia must be signed by the authority responsible for import and export of animals in country of export;
7.An applicant must ensure that he / she has proof of ownership of animal;

An animal registration permit authorizes a person to move an animal from one place to another. Issuance of such permits in Liberia is done by the Ministry of Agriculture through the Animal Resources and Quarantine in line with the Plant and Animal Quarantine Act.

1.Applicants must not that there are animals that do not require vaccination but must have to meet other requirements.
- For instance animals like invertebrates, Birds, tropical fish, reptiles, amphibians, and some mammals like rodents and rabbits.

2.Animals that are poisonous, noxious, which produce harmful drugs or which are infected with harmful pests or diseases are identified in the process of obtaining permits;

4.The process helps in limiting exportation of declining animals from Liberia in the interest of preserving these species and conserving the natural resources of the country;
5.The processes of registration helps in the prevention of spreading any potentially dangerous pest or disease which may become established within the country;
