Procedure

Apply In Person:

1. To Register Cyber Crime Complaint, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Interior link
2. The applicant has to visit the nearest police office.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or the applicant has to write a complaint letter A4 sheet.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
7. The fee for registering Cyber Crime Complaint is free of cost.
8. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
9. On receiving the complaint, authorities will investigate and clarify their doubts before registering.
10. If the submitted complaint is in detail and the supporting documents are in place the complaint will be recorded by the respective authority.
11. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
12. This complaint will be investigated by the team.
13. All the updates on the compliant status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number or by call.
14. The complaint shall follow the department's notice to get justice.
