Kuwait - Obtain Emergency Travel Document

Procedure

1. Prepare all the documents you will need to present or submit in order to obtain an emergency travel document. For lost passports, make sure that you report the incident to the police. You will need the report issued by the police when you apply for the procedure.
2. Submit all required documents.
3. Pay the application fee.

You may use the link provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to get in touch with the nearest Kuwait Embassy in the country you are currently staying. The embassy's consular section will process your request for an emergency travel document.

An emergency travel document will be issued subject to approval from Kuwait.

Required Documents

MOFA - Kuwait:

• Travel document to a Kuwaiti citizen except for newborns.:
  • Valid identification
  • A report from the police regarding the loss of the passport.
  • An affidavit signed by the applicant explaining how the passport was lost.
• Kuwaiti-born:
  • Birth certificate of the child certified by official authorities in the State where he was born.
  • ID of the mother.
  • Father's passport.

Kuwait Embassy - Consular service section:

• Completed and signed application form
• Two passport size photos
• The original Expired Kuwait passport
• Proof of your status abroad: Copy of study or work permit
• A copy of the civil identification
