Apply In-Person:
- To apply Income Support for Workers in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Social Assistance.
- The address and contact details of Social Assistance can be found in the following Contact link
- First the applicants have to call the Social Assistance offices which can be found in the following link Contact numbers
- The applicant has to call the respective Social Assistance office and inform that they need to apply for Income Support.
- A Social Worker will gather their information to determine whether they are eligible for the assistance. Provide the information requested by them.
- Then, he/she will arrange an intake appointment for them to complete the online application for the assistance.
- Visit the respective office as directed by the worker on the scheduled date of appointment at scheduled time.
- Make sure that all the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page, are available.
- Complete the application by following the instructions of the social worker or he/she may also complete the form for them, with the help of the documents they provided.
- Also, submit the attachments as requested by the worker and he/she will provide instructions regarding the further processes to be done.
- When all the necessary processes are over, the applicant will be sent a notification through registered mobile number or email address regarding the application approval.
- Within a stipulated period of time, the applicant will start receiving his/her income support, with respect to the application request.

EligibilityEdit
- The applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
- The age of the applicant should lie between 19 and 64.
- The applicant’s partner or spouse should not be making enough money to meet their basic needs.
- The applicant should not have a First Nation Status Number, and/or the last working person in their relationship should not have a First Nation Status Number.

- The social worker will look at the applicant’s food, shelter and utility needs, as well as any and all money they've received in the 31 days before they apply.
- If all of the money they received in the last 31 days is less than their need, they're likely to be eligible for assistance.
