*Stateless persons whose civil status documents are registered in Romania shall be legalized in order to issue multilingual excerpts with a temporary or long-term residence permit or, as the case may be, with a valid passport issued under the Convention on the Status of Stateless Persons, adopted in New York on September 28, 1954, to which Romania adhered by Law no.362 / 2005.
*Upon request, applicants shall be issued with several copies of multilingual extracts completed on the basis of the same civil status document.

A Birth Certificate states the name and sex of a person, it also indicates the time and place of birth, it is issued after the birth is registered with the Civil Registry Office.

A copy of the birth certificate is often needed when you apply for a passport, a driver license or a marriage license.
