#One or both of the drivers’ affected by the accident or a witness in the case where both drivers have being seriously injured and taken to the hospital should contact the “Voie Publique” division of the Police Station or the Gendarmerie Brigade by phone or in person immediately.
#Upon receiving the distress call/ notification the “Voie Publique” division will send a team to the screen to write a report.
#This team observes and questions the circumstances of the accident (among other things, speeding, failure to respect the light signal, braking system, physical and psychological condition of the drivers, etc.) and the vehicles assessed (beforehand).
#It assesses the causes, identifies responsibilities, and drives vehicles and drivers to the “Public Road” Division, for further assessment on the vehicles {road worthiness}, driver’s physical and mental states.
#The team will also recorded the declaration of both drivers, if present on the screen or in the hospital {if applicable} and that of witnesses {if applicable} a medical assessment is carried out in the event of injury.
#The drawn report is then recorded before being transmitted to the Police Commissioner who in turn transmits it to the law court for court proceedings afterwards and decision making by the judge.
#The report is then sent to their insurers for full compensation to the affected party as determined by the law court.
