*Motor Vehicles other than a transport vehicle which has completed 15 years from the date of registration should pay the green tax.
*Transport Vehicle which has completed 8 years from the date of its registration should pay the green tax.

*The green tax for a vehicle is arrived based on the road tax. A fixed percentage (10%/25%/or the percentage as per norms) of the road tax is collected as green tax. The percentage varies with respect to the pollution level of the particular state.
