==Procedure==
#Check if you have met the age requirement in the category you are applying.
#Gather all necessary documents.
#Fill up the application form and submit it along with all other required documents.
#Pay the application fee.

A new driver's license may be requested in case the license is lost/stolen or there was an error on the issued driver's license.

Information on the driver's license may also be required to be modified in case there is a change in the holder's personal data, or change in the name or surname of the holder.

==Required Documents==
To obtain a driver's license for the first time or add a category:
*Certificate issued after taking the examination
*Copy of a valid ID card or passport issued by the Republic of Kosovo
*Certificate issued by the court stating that the applicant has not committed any offense against the state or any ongoing court proceedings filed against him
*A copy of driver's license, for adding categories
*Receipt in the amount of 20 euros
*Evidence in the case of change of personal data
*Health Certificate

To exchange a UNMIK driving licenses into those issued by the Republic of Kosovo:
*A copy of driver's license UNMIK.
*Copy of a valid ID card or passport issued by the Republic of Kosovo
*Health certificate, for professional categories (C1 A. A1. C1E. C. CE. D1. D1E. D. DE). And for citizens over the age of 65 and for categories (B, BE).
*Certificate from the Court stating that the applicant is not facing any court proceedings against him/her. (This document is required in case the party has lost his/her driver's license UNMIK).
*Police report, not older than 6 months. (This document is required if the applicant has lost his/her driver's license UNMIK).
*Receipt in the amount of 15 Euros.

To exchange a former FRY-Kosovo driving license into those issued by the Republic of Kosovo:
*Certified copy of the driving license of former FRY.
*Copy of a valid ID card or passport issued by the Republic of Kosovo
*Health certificate for professional categories. (A1. A. C1. C1E. C. CE. D1. D1E. D. DE). As for citizens over age 65 and for categories (B, BE).
*Cardboard folder or photocopied in the municipal archives of the former driver of the FRY signed and certified by the officer's ZSHPSH.
*Receipt in the amount of 15 Euros.

To correct errors in the drivers license:
*Copy of a valid ID card or passport issued by the Republic of Kosovo
*Copy of the driver's license of the Republic of Kosovo with errors
*A copy of the testimony by the competent authority, stating why the error must be change
*Receipt in the amount of 15 Euros.

For lost, stolen or damaged driver's license:
*Certificate issued by the Municipal Court, stating that the applicant is not facing any court proceedings against him/her.
*Police report regarding the loss of the driving license , must not be older than 6 months.
*Copy of a valid ID card or passport issued by the Republic of Kosovo
*Copy of the driver's license, in case the current license is damaged
*A copy of the testimony by the competent authority, stating why the driver's license must be replaced
*Receipt in the amount of 15 Euros

For other cases where the driver's license must be replaced:
*Request to obtain a driver's license
*Copy of the driver's license issued in the Republic of Kosovo
*Copy of a valid ID card or passport issued by the Republic of Kosovo
*Health certificate for professional categories. (A1. A. C1. C. CE. D1. D. DE), as and all candidates older than 65 years and for category B, the EU
*Certificate issued by Court, stating that the applicant is not facing any court proceedings against him/her. (This document is required in cases where the party has lost his/her driver's license issued by the Republic of Kosovo three months before the expiry of validity of driving license)
*Police report regarding the loss of the driving license , must not be older than 6 months.(This document is required in case the party has lost his/her UNMIK driver's license)
*Receipt in the amount of 15 Euros

Applications to obtain a driver's license or to add a category in your driver's license are submitted at the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) offices.

Data on driver's license must match those information printed on the ID card:
*Holder's complete name
*Date and Place of Birth
*Personal contact number

If these data are not consistent with the ID, the citizen is obliged to obtain a driver's license in accordance with the data printed on the ID.
