==Instructions==
*If you have never contributed to the NHT, your waiting time to access a benefit upon registering with the NHT is two years. However, please note that your monthly contributions must be made on time for the 12 months immediately preceding the date of your loan application. That is, your payments must be made before the 14th of the following month.
*If you are a previous contributor and you desire to resume making your contributions to the Trust the waiting time is one year i.e. you must pay your monthly contributions on time for the 12 months immediately preceding your loan application.
*Voluntary Contributors may apply for contributions refunds, which will be paid directly to the Contributor in Jamaican Dollars. If the Contributor is a NHT Mortgagor, then the refund will be applied to the principal of your loan account

*As stated by the National Housing Trust Act a Voluntary Contributor is someone who (on application) has been granted a certificate authorizing you to make voluntary contributions. As a registered contributor, you will be able to access housing benefits where persons would be eligible for loans to assist in building, buying, repairing or improving homes.
*In addition to housing benefits, Contributors are entitled to access a refund (with interest) on payments made to the Trust.
* Voluntary Contributors may also access Tax Compliance Certification.
