#To apply for Importing Goods in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Ghana Revenue Authority Office.
#Address and contact details can be found in the following [https://gra.gov.gh/contact-us/ Contact link]
#Applicant has to approach the GRA office and obtain an import Declaration form, if the types of goods require the applicant to (food, drugs, chemical, agricultural products).
#The clearing agent will ensure that all the required documentation are attached and submit it, on the applicant’s behalf, to the Customs Services Department.
#With the assistance of the clearing agent, the applicant is required to declare the goods applicant are importing in the customs system. Applicant will be required to fill an Import declaration form which the clearing agent will use to make entries into the customs system.
#Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
#Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
#The Customs will then check the documents and release the goods for verification.
#Verification will be done by the Customs and other interested regulatory bodies e.g. Ghana Bureau of Standards to determine the type, quantity and quality of goods imported
#The verification will determine the duties and tax payable on the imported goods.
#After this, the agent will be issued with a release order.
#With the release order the applicant is required to pay tax, duty and port charges after which the goods will be released to the clearing agent (or importer).
#After payment, applicant can now collect the applicants goods and transport them to his/her destination
#The processing time for this procedure is 21 days.
