This document is necessary for individuals to import and export both local and foreign currencies in Ethiopia.

*Foreigners may not import and export local and foreign currencies exceeding the limit of 10,000 USD.
*Citizens of Ethiopia can import and export up to 100,000 Birr of local currency and there is no limitation for Ethiopian citizens on foreign currencies.
