Customers may go to any intra-net connected outlet of bank, with personal valid identity documents and deposit receipt or passbook to handle the transaction.

Both the proxy and the depositor shall provide their own valid identity documents when handling such transaction through proxy.

Customers can submit written application at the bank; customers who have signed fax authorization agreement with the bank can also submit application by fax.

Certificates can be issued after the bank identifying the customer signature and verifying the account balance.

Types Available to Issue Certificates of Deposit
*RMB and foreign currency personal term deposit, including lump-sum term deposit, notice deposit, term-current optional deposit, installment fixed deposit, interest withdrawal term deposit, education savings, term all-in-one account, etc.
*RMB and foreign currency demand savings deposits, including ordinary current passbook and current all-in-one account.

==Need for the Document==
The bank can issue certificates of deposit in the account designated by the individual customers (for self-funded study abroad, visa extension, immigration application, visiting relatives, traveling abroad and other purposes).

==Information which might help==
The bank will issue certificates of deposit in actual currency type deposited, and it is not allowed to issue certificates of deposit in another currency exchanged from the actual deposited currency.

Relevant account needs to be frozen for issuing certificates of deposit, and the valid time for certificate of deposit must be the same with the deposit frozen time. You can choose frozen days in need, and the shortest term is one day (e.g. the current date of issuing certificate of deposit).

If you need to release frozen deposit before its maturity date, then you must return all certificates of deposit concerning the frozen account back to the bank.

If you need to extend the valid period of deposit certificates, please go to the bank and repeat the procedures of filling in application form and issuing another certificate with handling fee paid.

Certificate of deposit has no function of economic guarantee and cannot be used for transfer or pledge.

Individuals may be required to provide certificates of deposit because of self-funded study abroad, application for foreign immigrants, visiting relatives and travel abroad as well as other reasons.

*In principle, the balance shown in the certificate of deposit is the effective balance in the customer's account one working day before issuing the certificate;
*The bank will issue the certificate of deposit according to the currency of the customer's account;
*The certificate of deposit cannot serve as financial guarantee, and it shall not be transferred or pledged;
*The bank will not handle loss report of certificate of deposit, and the handling fees will not be returned.
