==Procedure==
#The Canadian Firearms Program (CFP) will send a renewal notice to the licence holder approximately 90 days before the expiry date of a licence. Note: For renewal notices and other important information are sent to the correct address, make sure that you have notified CFP of any changes in your address. This can be done online or by calling the CFP.
#Complete the renewal form and submit it to the CFP as soon as possible to ensure the new licence is issued before the current licence expires. Licence applications are normally processed within 45 days.

Note: If your licence is about to expire but you haven't receive a renewal notice, you can download the renewal form (link provided below), request it by mail, or renew online.
